| CKC members are active participants in ongoing discussions to revise the Kensington Sector Plan, the White Flint Sector Plan, and the Wheaton Sector Plan. The Montgomery County Planning Department has divided the county into four planning areas, each of which encompasses a list of master plans that create a comprehensive view of land-use trends and future development, generally a 20-year timeframe. CKC member communities are located in areas covered by the Kensington Sector Plan, the White Flint Sector Plan, and the Wheaton Sector Plan. The County Council held a public hearing on 4 February 2010.
